چکیده
Background: Existing research has shown that retinol binding protein (RBP4) an impairing effect on arterial elasticity and induces insulin resistance, but the clinical value of RBP4 in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) combined type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) not been investigated. This study sought to compare complexity artery lesions between CHD T2DM those without T2DM, analyze risk factors affecting elasticity, investigate assessing T2DM. Methods: A total 130 confirmed were consecutively enrolled, including 38 92 Basic data, laboratory findings, angiography intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging Gensini scores parameters calculated both groups. Elasticity included: stiffness parameter (β), pressure-strain elastic modulus (Ep), distensibility coefficient (DC), compliance (CC). Multiple linear regression equations established as dependent variables explore influencing within two Results: Compared group, group had higher levels, scores, β Ep values, lower DC CC values. Linear analysis showed score increased values decreased In all groups, was independent factor for after correction confounders by multiple analysis, whereas statistically different. Conclusions: overall patients, it did affect

Abstract Background and Objective: Diabetes mellitus is the most common risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD). Cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) TaqIB polymorphism is associated with changes in lipid profile and may be a risk factor for CAD in patients with diabetes. This study aimed to evaluate the association of CETP TaqIB polymorphism with CAD in...

Objective: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetes mellitus can influence coronary artery disease (CAD) independently. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and CAD in type 2 diabetic patients (T2DM). Materials and Methods: This cross sectional study evaluated 3624 T2DM patients with clinical presentation of CAD whose documents were registe...
متن کاملPrognostic value of uric acid in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus and coronary artery disease.
Studies investigating the prognostic role of UA (uric acid) in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus have given conflicting findings. We undertook the present study to assess the association between UA and outcome in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus and CAD (coronary artery disease). The study included 3705 patients with diabetes mellitus and angiography-proven CAD. UA was measured befor...
متن کاملCoronary Heart Disease Arginase Inhibition Improves Endothelial Function in Patients With Coronary Artery Disease and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Background—Endothelial dysfunction plays an important role in the early development of atherosclerosis and vascular complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Increased expression and activity of arginase, metabolizing the nitric oxide substrate L-arginine, may result in reduced production of nitric oxide and thereby endothelial dysfunction. We hypothesized that inhibition of arginase activity ...
